It's threads like these that serve a great reminder that being an atheist not making you any less susceptible to eating up the most ridiculous of bullshit.
You ain't kidding. Fuck me Jesus, people believe everything they want to believe if they read it online.
A cynical habit of thought and speech, a readiness to criticise work which the critic himself never tries to perform, an intellectual aloofness which will not accept contact with life’s realities â€" all these are marks, not as the possessor would fain to think, of superiority but of weakness. -TR

Atheon

The lunatic asylums must have opened up and the escaped patients are gaining access to teh Internets. There are shrill, unhinged Trumpeteers trolling everywhere.

Wonder if Huma is working out an immunity deal yet.

The original quote is actually, "Fuck me in the ass because I love Jesus."

Thank you. I stand corrected.

Nonsensei

I love it. When news broke about Donald Trump being a self-admitted sexual predator, conservatives were going ape shit about the timing of the video and the lawsuits being so close to the election. They screeched on and on about it being a cheap move to influence the election. (Of course none of them cared that he was on tape admitting to being a sexual predator.)

Now, like a week before the election, the FBI suddenly decides to announce that it is reopening the email thing against Hillary. But this is not some sort of cheap stunt to try to sway voters. No no no this is a righteous pursuit of JUSTICE.....which has revealed nothing of any impact on Hillary herself.

But that's exactly what this is. A cheap stunt to try to sway voters, a stones throw away from election day. How can you tell? Simple. There's no way this investigation disqualifies Hillary from becoming president simply because there's not enough time to convict her of anything even if there were something found that she could be convicted of. The trial of Hillary Clinton in the case of the emails would take like three fucking years. She will be almost done with her first term by the time a verdict is reached.

They investigated already, and found nothing legally actionable. The same thing will happen with this "new" investigation which just so happens, by pure coincidence, to take place 9 days from election day.

Conservatives. Its not so much your glaring moral hypocrisy. Its how bad you are at disguising it.
And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality
All alone in desperation now the time has come
Lost inside you\'ll never find, lost within my own mind
Day after day this misery must go on

Conservatism is pure hypocrisy. It's an inevitable product of the impossible moral standards they demand of everyone else but themselves. They accuse others of lying, but they lie more than anyone; indeed, their very philosophy is built on a network of lies, the greatest one being "God exists". Oh, and they whine and whine when other people have sex, because sex to them is a big no-no, but when one of their own does it, that's fine. IOKWARDI.

As for this election, historically, "October surprises" this close to election day have had minimal influence on polls, and no influence on the actual outcome of the election. So with 8 days to go, Clinton is still hovering around 80% chance of winning. This may drop slightly, but over the next 8 days the probability rating would have to drop by 4 percentage points a day, every day, for Trump to win, which has never happened yet. Over the entire season with all the shit that has been flung at her by the zoo-monkeys on the right, she has always remained above Trump in the aggregate polls.

We shall see. Trump may yet win, and the lunatics would take over he asylum, making us yearn for the halcyon days of George W. Bush. But his chances are low.

Joke going around ... Huma kept an email backup on her husband's lap top, because of book writing source material and blackmail potential .. the folder it was all in was named "insurance policy" ;-)  I don't think that would keep her and her husband from dying under mysterious circumstances.

A technial IT person I read, explained that it could have happened accidentally, when she temporarily used her husband's lap top, she didn't intend or know that the email program there, was busily copying everything (email forwarding to secondary email app).  So she isn't necessarily guilty of obstruction of justice (she shared all her other computers where she thought State Department business might be located).  And she probably wanted nobody to look at her husband's laptop, because of the porn it would contain.

What are you doing?
Are you taking any medications?
Don't do that.

Cocoa Beware

Trump is a pathological narcissistic man child who has demonstrated in abundance he has at best very limited control over his own conduct, and who I have never seen show any trace of empathy, or even any indication that he believes human lives hold any value whatsoever.

Can we PLEASE not give him the nuclear launch codes? Is that too much to ask?

Putin will all make you beg for mercy, or his protein shake (see him without his shirt riding a horse across Siberia) ... you puny Americans would never support a candidate with actual balls on his horse!  Prefer old nag or elephant with bad hair piece.

I must say Baruch I'm not sure what to make of your comments sometimes, but after not being around here for a while I have to admit I have definitely missed them.

It is sometimes embarrassing to realize that some atheists are as irrational as most theists.  I suppose it can't be helped.  Even if the world was 100% atheist, there is always going to be a 50% dumber-than-average group.

I note you didn't actually SAY anything.  Did you hit send before you did or did you merely not have anything to say?
