Title: What is going on with this 72 virgins business, FFS?
Post by: 1liesalot on July 21, 2015, 09:08:51 PM
Why does Islam abhor sexual flamboyance here on earth whilst simultaneously looking forward to an orgy with 72 virgins once they arrive safely in their heaven?

The haoris mentioned in the Quran .. are a lot like the "cloud maidens" of Sri Lanka: https://suellewellyn2011.wordpress.com/travel-tales-with-a-twist-stories-of-backpacking-around-aisai/sri-lanka/the-cloud-maidens-of-sigiriya-sri-lanka/

They are perfectly attractive, never tire, always attentive to their "john", never get pregnant and never have STDs.  A perfect bordello.  What is not to like?  In the Quran there is little explication ... but later Muslim theology expanded on it ... and emirs were always trying to create it: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/granada ... and you can visit it yourself ... minus the harem girls of course ;-)

Why would anyone want an inexperienced virgin in the first place that just giggles all the time?

I've never understood the appeal, though it just descends from a culture that raped young girls and the idea of that stuck.

In reality, I'd much more prefer an experienced bear who knows how to pleasure me, then an inexperienced twink.

Precisely

Also: In the words of Sam Harris: "I consider it one of the most sickening effects of political correctness that so many liberals appear to care more about the (nonexistent) rights of Muslims to not be offended than about the rights of women to not live as slaves."

I suppose there isn't any such thing as a 'virgin male' is there??  So, that leaves women out.  And male gays.

In Afghanistan, there is an unapproved lifestyle with pederastry.  Perhaps it was the Greeks who brought it?

Yes, in Islam, Heaven for women is that they didn't go to Hell, and they get to continue to serve men in a domestic sense (housekeeper) not in a sexual sense (because what wife(s) could compete with the haoris anyway? ;-)  Of course gay people don't go to Heaven, no equivalent of haoris for them.  That is the problem with incorrigible ancient scripture ... unless they wrote about it back then, you have no way to go forward in that matrix.

On the other hand, if misogyny in other countries offends you ... then take care of it in your own society first.  The West is not immune, just hypocritical.

Yep, it's not just confined to Afghanistan
