So in case anyone is interested.. It's a scratch yellow cake, but to get the cherries on top just pour about 1/4 stick of melted butter or margarine in the cake pan, sprinkle brown sugar in it, pour the canned cherry pie filling in then the batter on that. Bake as usual then flip it in the plate while still hot and be darned careful to not burn the shit out of yourself.. Very tasty and looks good..

I forgot to mention it's low fat..just 2/3 + 1/4 cup of butter and only 1 3/4 cups of sugar..
