I don't hate him. But at the same time, I wouldn't cross the street to piss in his ear if his hat was on fire.
He's a fake. He says what he's supposed to say, but doesn't really believe it. The whole hate market we thrives in is slowly collapsing. Limbaugh's losing audience rapidly, and Fox isn't that far behind.
Of all the people in the world, I don't think about Bill O'reilly very much. But I trust people's judgments in the forum, so if you tell me he's and idiot, well, that's good enough for me. Also, some of my weirder friends think he's wonderful, so he's most likely an idiot.

He's one of Fox News' handpuppets. If you want to get a grip on him, go to youtube and search for "Bill O'reilly Jon Stewart". It's worth the lols.

Well, it's true almost everything I know about O'reilly comes from Jon Stewart. I know that's somewhat one sided, but I can't think of a reason I would watch O'reilly on my own.

Totally agree. Faux News isn't allowed to represent themselves as a "news" channel in Canada for a very good reason.
They're just called Fox in the Netherlands as well.
I watched some of his stuff. It makes me want to cry.
But the sad part isn't the guy raking in money by exploiting stupid people, it's the stupid people choosing to be exploited so easily.

Their audience consists primarily of people my age, early 60's. These folks remember when the white male was dominant in the US. They don't like that this has changed and want to restore that status quo. They refuse to believe that this won't happen.
I don't hate him, I just feel sorry for him embarrassing himself by never checking the facts before he puts his foot in his mouth. Solitary
Nope. He's a jackass, but I save hate for "special people" like those who make polls asking if I hate someone enough to meet their standards of hate. Don't take it personally.

The man is dangerous.
I wish I could buy him for what he's worth and sell him for half of what he thinks he's worth.
just typing that I don't care expends more energy than I told myself I would ever give to the man...damn you for that!

Just think of it as a digital aerobic workout doing all that typing.
He gave us "Tides go in, tides go out. You can't explain That!"
I don't hate B O'Reilly because I don't watch B O'Reilly.
Trust me on this, you are better off not knowing.
But, if I were to sum him up, he is the embodiment of a lot of things you hate about the typical American conservative.
For more evidence, go to YouTube and weep.
However, what people seem to miss is that he is an entertainer. He doesn't honestly believe half the shit he spews on his show, and a lot of time when he gets angry with guests etc, it's just an act.
To get angry at Bill, as far as I think, is akin to getting angry towards an actor that played a hated role in a movie.

Does it make him a worse person because he is pretending? He is an entertainer, so I can't fault him for that. I think that the people that are the problem is his audience. It doesn't matter how good of an entertainer or fake person he is, if I take two seconds to use my brain I can realize what he is about. So ultimately it is the audience's fault.
But on a larger scale yes, I do think the propaganda machine like Fox News is a real problem, and the best weapon against that is factual knowledge and challenging their bullshit.
That is why my mind was blown when Fox decided to pick up the show Cosmos
O'Really writes all those 'The killing of...' books. I can't wait for The Killing of O'REALLY?...

Carefully, he's a legit millionaire.
drunkenshoe yeah, you're absolutely right and I know what you mean. Far too few people engage their brains anymore, everything must be already processed for them mentally and then spoon fed by "news" shows like O'Reilly. Bill knows his audience, knows what the audience expects him to say and he says what his audience wants to hear.
Have you ever seen Jon Stewart? He has a show on Comedy Central.
We are in real trouble when a comedian on a comedy show (The Daily Show) presents a more honest political view (a lot of times he rips into Fox News).
Watch this debate between Bill and Jon, you will see what I mean. It is both interesting and hilarious:

Hmm, weird. It works for me. Try this one

Or look for Jon Steward vs Bill O'Reilly. It is a debate from 2012
Okay, that is what I suspected but I didn't want to say anything without being sure.
In that case, you may want to look into how to use a proxy or TOR (The Onion Router, a program that makes your browsing anonymous).
Basically, the easiest way I can explain it (and it has been a long week at work and my brain is tired) is that instead of connecting to everything you visit on the internet directly, you connect to a proxy first and then browse the rest of the internet through that proxy. So there would be no way for any information to be censored by your government because they would not be able to tell what sites you are on.
However, the risk with that is if your government is having your internet provider monitor that activity, it can be observed and reported. And they typically know that people that use proxies are trying to bypass something.
If this is something that interests you at all and need help, let me know. I don't know to what extent your government is watching what people do on the internet. I have not been looking at it closely because I haven't had time :(
By connecting through a proxy, as far as atheistforums.com, youtube.com, google.com and anyone else would think that you are that proxy. Essentially your identity becomes that proxy (a technical name for an intermediary; think of it like a gateway). If the proxy you use is based in England for example, everyone would think you're from there.
Internet censorship is easy to bypass, but the problem/risk is to what extent do they watch what you do and what consequences exist.
Twitter a week ago, YouTube blocked today, rumors that Facebook will be banned tomorrow.

I actually think he is hilarious to watch. In a borderline frustrating way... Almost everyone that goes on his show knows more about everything and anything than he does and he always looks like a fool. I kind of feel bad that he does that to himself.
He's a right-wing Republican, a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a creationist, and a liar. For a supposed journalist and interviewer, he behaves most unprofessionally and unethically. Despite all this, he smugly fancies himself legitimate.
Not much love coming from me.

Rupert Murdoch's from the Antipodes, yes?
I don't so much as hate him, but have contempt for him.
Electric Dildo Man! Here to save the world with his electric dildo. Bzzzzzzzz!
Alot of people here have said he's an entertainer who doesn't believe what he says. I don't agree. He's an entertainer who believes every word he says.
The problem is not that he is dishonest, it's that he puts ideology ahead of facts and he's an ego maniac.
Hating him would require me to care.
Him and fox news are a dangerous phenomenon in today's social climate.
Yeah, that too, but I just hate him for being himself - so smarmy you could spread him on toast!
Ignorant AND smarmy! He's the only person I know of in the world for whom I truly, actually feel hate and loathing. Listening to him talk (which I can seldom stomach doing) is even worse that listening to "dubya" back when I often had to hear him (and that was stomach-churning enough!). I don't own a TV just because I might accidentally come across him somewhere. Well, that's not the only reason, but it's a big one!
I don't hate him anymore than I would an insane delusional man in a psyche ward.
He is evil.
I think he's smart, and actually he's an independent, not a repub. He comes off as a repub a lot though. I think he makes good points at times, but I have lost respect for him when I discovered that his ex wife a few years ago, accused him of pushing her down the stairs, and other domestic violent incidents. Supposedly their daughter witnessed it...who knows how true, but I wouldn't be stunned. Deep down, I think that O'Reilly is a closet misogynist.
Hate? No. If I hated him, that would mean I had some shred of respect for him, and I have not.
Who?
The guy is just another right-wing HypoChristian. He's got this complex that he speaks for the "folks" and like most wingers, believes most of the American public shares his views on everything, when he's completely out of touch.
I hate all of the talking heads on TV and the radio, Bill O'Reilly included - it's all propaganda, all of it.
Even when they say things I agree with I still recognize it as propaganda - it's just "telling you what to think" using informal fallacies rather than telling you the hard facts and letting you form your own conclusion.
It's just politics done Jerry Springer style.
We should not hate him. That makes him stronger. His entire persona is set up in a way that some people WILL hate him. That makes him flourish. The fact that he is hated by some, makes him a hero in the eyes of the people he wants to rile up. And that's the whole point of his persona. So we should LOVE him.....

The opposite of love is not hate. It is indifference. We should therefore ignore Bill. If somebody asks you about him, say "Who?" That would destroy him quicker than anything.
I prefer the word despise. Especially for someone like him who shows scorn and regular nastiness for those who hold contrary views to his (Such as atheists).
He's a bully.
Plus the duckweed owes me like $20 bucks.
I don't think of O'Reilly enough to hate him, he's like a disease which hasn't infected you or anyone you care about. But he is a disease, a true public health menace in need of extermination.
I hate him in the "I hate Brussels sprouts" or "Don't you hate being cut off in traffic" kind of hate, rather than in Emperor Palpatine's "Let the hate flow through you" kind of hate.

I don't hate, but a fatal car crash would not darken my day.
Asking who hates bill o'reilly is like asking who hates parasites that burrow into your eyes.
I honestly forgot who Bill o' Reilly even was. I had to google. :|
He feels like he's is getting less relevant. I can't remember the last time I have heard him.
Bill's conspiracy books are very popular. I see lots of them whenever I go to used book stores.
Bill O'Reillly was a local newsanchor in my area in the 70s lol.
Anyway, I have no feelings towards him because I'm a sociopath.
