They sound like a bunch of assholes. From what I read (I actually scanned), I didn't get the idea that liberals were their target. It seemed like their attitude was more like "Fuck America". After all, it wasn't just liberals that they fucked over. Everyone was hurt, except them, of course. And remember, so called "liberals" in both the legislative and Executive branches of government along with the urging of former wall street bankers in key White House positions, were complicit in making sure they didn't lose money on the scam that nearly sunk the country.
They're just a bunch of powerful dickheads. Yeah, they're probably Republicans, but mostly, just dickheads.
Clearly we take people with billions now and send them to labor camps and institutionally discriminate against them denying them fair mansions and maid service, make them ride on private jets where they're made to sit in the back, the food is just atrocious conglomerations of steaks and lobster tails and fine expensive wines. Their yachts are forced to sail in polluted seas while we force them to seek out tax free havens in tropical nations. When was the last time YOU gave up your seat on the bus for a billionaire?

Actually, I've considered shit like this. Really, I have. Maybe if we had such an awareness month, it might finally hit people about how fucked the system is. On the other hand, the risk is that people might just adopt some sort of new politically correct attitude about how we ought to feel sorry for billionaires and give them more tax breaks and even more power.
I read a brief article recently about some asshole Billionaire stating publicly that more votes should be awarded to the wealthy. It was something like each person should get one vote for every dollar of wealth he has. The fact that he even feels empowered enough to say shit like that scares me to death.
I must be a commie then Shoe because I've said it over and over again that some of the work I've done in my life should make me a gazillionaire. Nobody is physically capable of working so hard to actually "earn" a billion dollars. If it were true every employer would have Arbeit macht frei above every door and it still wouldn't be true.

There is no wage scale that allows anyone, no matter what they do or how hard they work that makes people billionaires. It would be like a six digit figure per hour.

We aren't people to these folks, we're numbers. There is no such thing as hungry children, overworked mothers, homeless veterans, or disenfranchised youth to these assholes. We're just a bunch of bitchy numbers that need to get back in line. Regulations are just pesky laws that get in the way of manipulating the numbers even further. That's all you'll ever be unless you're lucky enough to get on their level.

and in the modern world, "persecuted" is a bit of an exaggeration; "systematically isolated from the public eye and implicitly viewed with something approaching fear" is probably a more precise thing to say

Historically, the rich didn't have tanks and aircraft on their side. They might still not win, but it sure as hell is going to be more bloody. And probably send the country back towards the stone-age, considering the potential losses in infrastructure.
The bankers are concentrated in cities. Any blasts that hit the peasants on the field of war will hit them.
Speaking more seriously. What is it exactly that you want bankers to change about their behavior? Because you seem to feel very strongly about this issue, and yet my understanding of your views is very limited/nonexistent.
