Okay great. I read the entire 'Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series'. I have never had the oppertunity to talk to anyone from the Netherlands or Skandinavia about those books. Have you read them? If so, what did you think?

Emoticons, serve the same purpose as a facial expression does, in person: they help convey the emotional intent of the statement, so that it will not be mistaken as hostile.
