Conservatives claim they don't tolerate misogyny, progressives claim they don't tolerate misogyny, so why is it hypocritical for progressives to use the term "Karen" but not conservatives? If you believe conservatives DO tolerate misogyny then the question becomes is it better to aspire to treat women with respect and fail or to not even try.

I have been friends with a very nice republican Christian couple for years. They are both obese with high blood pressure, slightly diabetic, minimal education, have no health insurance, live in a white suburb but drink a lot of wine because they are in total debt with no retirement plan, don't wear masks and yet their biggest fear is black and brown people who are fixing to maraud their neighborhood and communists. Just because they are misinformed and not very book smart that doesn't mean I hate them. Like I said they are old friends and are very nice people. Just very unaware of what they should really care about.

I swear, it's fascinating. I mean, I'm using a second language I have never lived with, and I get that my posts sound weird and grammatically off at times but in the end, English is alien to me.
But these native English speaking people write-talk and esp. use certain words as if they have learned them from a verbal communication only. Exactly the same with the ones here. I experience this in two different languages. It's like we're back in sixteenth-seventeenth centuries. Not just him.
