I always cringe when I hear the phrase, "Lets think outside the box."  If not carried to an extreme it can be helpful at times, but logic is still necessary, and logic is a BOX.  A set for rules to test the validity of a claim.  It boxes us in, and some people hate that.  It limits their ability to make up shit.

Many people "think outside the box" just because they have no idea what's in the box.

Common sense is a myth.

Logic is a delusion, what's the difference?

What they think they mean:  "maybe there's a creative, workable solution for this that we're just not seeing."

What they actually mean: "let's let our stupid ideas fly!"

Logic predominantly is ethics.

Logic, ala Mr Spock, is a fiction.  Real logic is no stronger than the axioms you start with.

If common sense is not logical, what need is there for logical thinking?

It was explained above.  Among the intellectual elite, particularly logicians and mathematicians, logic builds consensus and helps you avoid mistakes.  The axioms act as a common anchor that the poindexters can unite behind.  Logic of a non-technical sort, like political oratory advocated by Cicero ... ultimately is a play on words, because the axioms are too fuzzy.  The first proper use of logic was Euclid.  Logic used in politics by Aristotle or the Greek Stoics, failed in the face of Macedonian pikes.

Evil is twisted logic.

You don't need any rationality or not, for evil.  Evil is negative EQ.  Lack of sympathy and empathy.

Reality is so absurd it is unreal.  Camus didn't go far enough.

Because common sense is not logical.  At best it's argumentum ad populum, which is a fallacy.
