Religion ain't worth the paper it's written on. While the religious speak of logic, they have none. The very idea of God is not logical in a very real sense.

Humans don't do reason, they do emotion. Men and women do this. The reason for religion is ... emotion.

The religious definition of logical is, "anything I believe." The reasoning is build on a simple syllogism"
I think logically.
I think God exists.
Therefore, God exists.
And from the simplicity of that reasoning springs the grandeur of the Vatican, Liberty University, the Branch Davidians, Islam, and the People's Temple of Jim Jones.
Monstrous morality is the topic of insane righteousness. Like for example the reason that the crusades happened, the Ryneland Massacre, Holocaust, the Church's "convert or die" world conquest, the witch trials, branding scientists as heretics, and enslaving or attacking people because are different.

Going on since New Guinea stone-age tribes. But we are woke, so much more civilized than mere ... headhunters. Where are the SJWs to protect the oppressed headhunters and cannibals?

In a strict sense, no religion isn't logical but people do many things that don't seem logical, such as engaging in obviously self-destructive behaviors. It is understandable why we have religion when you think of humans as social mammals that tend towards hierarchy, with brains that have evolved to find patterns, and have used rituals and oral history for thousands of years to transfer information to their progeny.

Got ziggurats? Pyramid 1.0 failed ... point was down. Note to self ... Pyramid 2.0 ... put point up! Trial and error mostly is what we do.

And destroying valuable documents of anyone who didn't agree with their hogwash. They found an Archimedes manuscript that had been erased and covered over by a prayer book! That, to me, is a crime against humanity. Like destroying the Library of Alexandria, Christians pillaged and destroyed whatever didn't vindicate their dogmas.

Yes, fairy tales are truth, in their direction.
When someone talks about first principles and the prism of reason, I say, do tell?

Jeese--Gregory, don't say that, for Baruch will tell, and tell, and tell, and tell, and tell..............................................and tell. But never the same way twice.

People do a more or less bad job rationalizing their sins.
I don't even know what "first principles" and "the prism of reason" are. Do tell!

The religious are not even emotional, they're calculating.
