One of those stories that is just... insane. A WW2 war criminal flees to Chile, founds a cult where he tortures and rapes his congregation, is supported by the Chilean government... and today, some of those survivors now run a hotel and museum of it all.

I don't know how "relevant" their stories often are, as even their important ones are generally about countries and states that have no real global influence... but they are certainly interesting.

Himmler and Mengele did some weird shit, because they were sociopaths recruited into the Nazi ranks. The Nazis were on the lookout for such people, to better employ them. That isn't the same as Nazi political theory (which was nationalist militant socialism). I don't care for their political theory or their sociopaths. Their nationalism was also based on ethnocentrism ... which I also disapprove of.
Communists of course are OK, because the ally of Hitler, Stalin, was victimized by Hitler. All part of the hierarchy of victimization theory that we follow today. Though Stalin murdered more people than Hitler, and Mao murdered more people than Stalin. And all American consumers are butt-buddies of Emperor Xi, the successor in chief to Mao.

He is balanced, except regarding anything US Civil War. His reclusion is suspicious, except for his cats. I have lived on the margins of the South, so I don't have a lot to say about it, other than irrationality simply promotes bigotry. I have lived in California. It is fruits and nuts. But I don't hate the people there. Anglos, Hispanics, Asians, Blacks are all fine to me. Including immigrants. But it is a crazy state, because of the political policies there, and the over-population. The big population states seem to be car wrecks to me.

Charolottesville death was a tragedy, a manslaughter if not murder. But I can't draw the conclusion that BLM aka Wakanda should take over the US in reparations for it.
