Title: Getting Bent Out Of Shape with Yoga
Post by: Baruch on April 30, 2019, 08:36:09 PM
Arik, continuing from your sharing by your yogi, I wanted to set up a separate string ...

It is particularly auspicious, having picked up where I left off, a year ago, at Yoga Sutra I.37 “The mind becomes steady when it has one who is free from desire as its object”.

The orthodox commentary on this, ties it to the disciple-guru relationship.  And relates that to Gita IV.34 and Gita II.54ff and Gita XIV.21-27

This guru relationship is also seen in Buddhism, Early Christianity, Early Rabbinic Judaism and Sufism.

If he hasn't attained perfection in yoga, Krishna, on what path does he go?
