This is something that became almost painfully clear to me when I read the Old Testament from cover to cover a few years ago. The literate priests so obviously exploited the labor and offerings of the poor working people under them.

The gradual progression of human progress has been towards larger group cohesion. Logically, that leads to a world-wide governance system. I have no idea what that will really be like and that doesn't matter. I don't have the group-think it requires to understand it. But I see it coming and I am not distressed. We humans change, and the changes will be what the changes will be.

True ... we are becoming an ant colony, under a queen. You like change, because you see it a progress, just another year, with a better iPhone. I don't see things that way. I am at peace also, because I understand that the "human stain" will be self-eradicated.
