Cant really say much about it other than it talks about several different measures of diversity and how it effects the cultures.

Japan.  They have more different kinds of quality cameras than any other place ;-)

See, as in QM, the way you measure, partly determines the outcome.  Objectivity is a false idol.

Is diversity a good thing?  The Queen bee thinks not.

Why do humans always gravitate to extremes?  7 billion different genders anyone?  Would a single gender be better?

Japan is one of the least diverse places on the planet.

Only by race.  But then a racist (anyone who considers race to be important) would think so.

You didn't watch the video, admit it ;-(

I watched most of it.  The audio was inane and the video was not connected to the audio.  If you found information in it, I fear for your logic.

It was obtuse/unfocused.  Totally failed to meet the Aristotelian standard for theater.

And yet your immediate thought was that "we" didn't watch it.

"You" in English is ambiguous.  Got a problem with that?

Uniformity is always forced.  No two human beings are alike.  Tyranny does what it does.

I think you got that bass-ackwards.  Uniformity isn't diversity.

Tyranny is tyranny.  And yes, white isn' black.  We can be forced to be alike.  We aren't forced to be different, that comes naturally.  My point stands.

However, that doesn't solve the conundrum of state power.  We civilize by having the government have a monopoly on force.  This force can be moderate or extreme, used for good or ill.

So I don't see diversity as a problem, or at least less so than a Brit ... as an American, this is more normal.  Certain minimal standards of conformity are necessary of course.  These standards can be more relaxed in a large country than in a small one.

Back in the day, the standards of conformity in Britain were stronger than today.  That is part of the reason for English colonization in Britain itself, and beyond.  Lebensraum.
