Why is Marxism so Attractive?

Desperate people in nations with corrupt governments with currencies that devalue daily. History suggests that in the 17th-19th centuries, monarchies were the most stable governments (saying nothing about individual freedom of course) but in the 20th century, it switched to democracies as most stable. Communism was never stable (a heated container of water in a weak vessel). It won't last much longer. Free trade beats 5 year plans for providing the populace with decent goods and services.
But that too may pass as "we the people" explore new ways of making our lives better. Governments are just constructions of our best ideas at the moment.
OP ...
New people are born each year ...
Some will support monarchy ...
Some will support republics ...
Some who support republics will support capitalism ...
Some who support republics will support communism ...
New fools are born each year ... and start to bear political fruit 20 years later ... but none are free of tyranny.
