I remember that episode as one of ST:TNGs finest. I looked it up because of your reference, to refresh my memory. It said most Star Trek fans disliked it. But I loved it. There was a long discussion on allegories vs metaphors, but the important part was that understanding in the oddest of thought-processes was possible.

Well, who wants a "stupid t shirt" anyway? I'd rather have a "smart one". And inddeed I do. Many of them. The best is the one with embossed tarantulas. But my favorite one started with a Superman "S" and spelled my last name in gradually smaller letters across the front.
I can't fit into any of them (I have to have shirt pockets for my glasses these days), but I keep them in a drawer. I should post pictures of them. I bought them from a specialty shop next to the arcade where I made money every lunchhour winning games and selling them to anxious losers who tried to beat my weekly high scores.
