Too bad legitimate scholars will be hurt.  Maybe they need to go back to the Victorian method of reading books and writing books.

In the 21st century, we don't need universities anyway ... you can get content and testing of ability thru on-line teaching, with vetted sources.

We have returned to the 1960s ... this is Fight Club, and the fight is on!

At least post HS ... why do I need a professor, if I have this?  And for humanities, just get a list of great literature ...

Of course today, we can put this in e-book format.  Each lesson chunk can be 140 characters long (a Tweet) so it can be carried by Twitter (yeah, they extended it).

There can be State Education Board approved curricula and sequence of training videos.  This is 21st century programmed learning ... now that everyone has their own home computer or tablet.  We just need test material, and graders (are they even necessary if the computer can grade the test?).  For people who believe in AI, we can even have a computer grade your essays.  Grammar and spelling are very simply checked.

University of Chicago got rid of all their undergraduate students, they are only a graduate school.  With that model, you can still do research and make future professors, but not abuse the minds and emotions of undergrads.

You have "made it" when your POV has become something other people make scholarly commentary on!
