Atheists of Florida wants to help.
In a Monday morning email, the Tampa-based group offered to provide signs with the saying free of charge to all of Florida's more than 4,000 public schools.
Its support would help offset any cost of the requirement, which the Legislature did not fund, while also filling an educational need, executive director Judy Adkins explained.
"We want to help educate about the First Amendment and the establishment clause, as well as about the diversity in our country," Adkins said.
Conservatives want to shove God down everyone's throat, and atheists want to oblige, in their own way. I doubt they'll be allowed to contribute the signs, though.

It is the Florida State motto. Cuban refugees are usually Catholic. It is also a bit of Lincolnesque piety that ties in with his invention of the Thanksgiving holiday. This was pushed again in the 1950s, because as anyone knows, holding money with this causes the hands of Soviet spies and American traitors to burn with fire ;-) And why at that time the Pledge was modified to exclude atheists.

You know what? Let them fucking put the "In god we trust" in schools. This will help eliminate the "they took god out of schools" bitching and moaning, every time a school tragedy happens in that state.
Maybe once something happens again, they'll realize they actually need to do something that will actively prevent, rather than insisting on their thoughts and prayers
If they get God back in school how long before they refuse to let atheists attend?

I agree. And it should be translated into other languages for the benefit of people who are more comfortable with a language other than english. In Dieu we trust. In Gott we trust. In Allah we trust...

Well, actually. let the NRA and the Trump adminstration post a sign in every school saying "God protects us this well". And then after the next school shooting, let the media show that sign over and over again for weeks and weeks until some wavering people change their minds about religion entirely.
But also, may that next shooting never happen.
