Title: HBO Miniseries: Big Little Lies
Post by: SGOS on September 21, 2017, 01:51:43 PM
Has anyone seen this?

92 and 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and a stellar cast.  It must be pretty good, but I'm having a hard time getting through the first episode of the 7 part miniseries, which I rented at Redbox.  I think it's well acted, but it bores me.  I can only manage to watch 15 minutes at a time, and then I have to stop less I scream from boredom.  I'm going to get through episode 1, even if it takes another two days.  If I don't hear anything positive from anyone here, and if nothing happens in episode 1, I'm going to bag it.

I read one review at Rotten Tomatoes, which launched into an unexpected spoiler for the last episode of the mystery, which named the bad guy, so I already must know the ending.  I won't read any more reviews.  What was RT even thinking when they printed that?

I quite enjoyed the show.

I love Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, and those two women slayed the show.

And to be honest, I should have known before the end what the ending was going to be, the way the show was set up, but of course it succeeded in taking my attention away from the obvious.

Did it take more than the first episode to get you committed?

Nope, I liked it from the very beginning.
