Title: Why I love Islam ...
Post by: Baruch on September 04, 2017, 07:42:11 AM
even though I am not a Muslim.

1 of 3 episodes.  I can relate well to someone from the 14th century, someone (Ibn Battuta) who understands the mystery of human life.

All that British Empire, before you were born, before you became English ... is what brung that on.  I am sure the BBC is pro Hindu and pro Chinese as well.  There were a lot of colonies, not just the Thirteen.

As a fellow American, what do you think of that old British Empire?  Empires are always multicultural ... and they let their colonial quislings move to England.

"Multicultural" and "cosmopolitan" are very different things.  The 1st is a forced mix of different cultures, the 2nd a blending.

The BBC is hard left. Supposedly unbiased. Not at all.

I stopped watching the TV years ago.
Still paying though £145.50 per year for the privilege.
(Is that what they mean by White Privilege?)

Yes, Britain is different that way.  You actually have actual Leftists.  We mostly lost ours in the 1980s.  Don't know why.  But wait ... forced subscription to false media is very much a thing ... but not yet in the US.  The Internet has messed up their plans for world stupefaction.  The BBC has wondeful documentaries.  And it is wonderful I can watch them on Youtube (even if that is a CIA tool).

More than one office.  Foreign Office and India Office.  They were independent and jealous.  The Foreign Office backed Lawrence, the India Office backed Ibn Saud.  Who won?

Yes, they can't be trusted.  But that was after they lost the war.  Arnold simply had a realization that he was on the wrong side (his Loyalist wife convinced him).

What I love about Islam:

1. Muslims are good with clockwork and demolition work. (http://nootropicdesign.com/projectlab/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/dynamite1-large.jpg)

2. Are willing to sacrifice everything for what they believe in. (http://www.idiotfreezone.com/images/stories/publisher/authors/tHedges/Suicide-bombers.jpg)

3. And save all the delicious bacon for the rest of us. (http://www.thepubliceditor.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Bacon_Islam_Husband_Home_Early.jpg)

((Hey. I'm joking. Don't crucify me.))

#2 is why int he future there will be no Infidels left or Left either.  Lack of sufficient motivation is a death wish.  See Europe today.  N America tomorrow.

Glad to see that people aren't really Islamophilic here. I'm glad people have stopped calling Islam the 'religion of peace'. It's so stupid to do that. I was recently in Jakarta with my dad and I almost ran for cover when I heard someone shouting 'Allah u akhbar' through a hailer. A religion of peace should not send people scrambling for cover when its cleric says a prayer.

Well at least one person here is Islamaphobic ... but he has his reasons.  Religion of Peace is a double entendre.  You can't have peace without justice, and in the Muslim POV, you can't have justice unless all people volunteer or are forced to become Muslim.  And I hope you learn to appreciate the wonderful variety of people in the world.

I am all for multi -culturalism but only an idiot would embrace suicide bombers and an ideology that makes it possible for them to thrive. But then Merkel got in a 4th time, didn't she?  Oh those Germans!!!

Diplomacy is not a hallmark of religion.  Oh sure, religious leaders will talk to governments, but when push comes to shove, it is always "Our Way Or Suffer Eternal Damnation".

And I crack up when they say "we all worship the same God".  But if you don't do it their precise and unique way, HELLFIRE to you.  LOL!

As I understand the usage ... gobsmacked means ... hitting your own mouth, to cover it, as if in surprise at something embarrassing.  So not an actual X on Y assault.

I think the American equivalent is "Slap The Forehead".  The point being something you do to yourself to show great surprise but not aggression.
