QuoteDear Faculty, Staff, and Students:I am writing to you concerning the hateful, racist fliers that briefly were posted on our San Marcos Campus about a week ago. These anti-Semitic fliers appeared very early in the morning and were immediately removed by university police who found them when they were on routine foot patrols. Additionally, we have found other similar types of communications on campus and have moved quickly to remove them.
All of you know that the deplorable sentiments contained in these communications violate our university core values. And I want to stress that religious intolerance is no less reprehensible than that focused on other classes within our nondiscrimination policy.
The individual or individuals responsible for posting these offensive communications seek to divide our Bobcat community. We should not let that happen. The Anti-Defamation League has reported at least 107 incidents of unauthorized flier postings across more than 60 U.S. universities since the beginning of the current academic year.
It's times like this I really wish you people were right about universities being "safe-spaces", even if yall don't even actually understand what that phrase means. There have been various acts of homophobia and racism on campus, and the president refuses to really address it other than short emails like this.

Nearly every week we have a preacher come to our campus and scream at women passing by how they are sluts, heathens and the death of society as we know it. Every week we have anti-abortion activists post posters around the quad showing pictures of aborted fetuses and shaming women. Shit, we had a period of people posting neo-Nazi propaganda around campus.

You know what happens? Absolutely nothing. There isn't violence, there isn't a "silencing of 'alternative' ideas", there is dialog between the students and the protesters and, for 99% of the people, laughing and just walking by. The campus has not been in flames for as long as I have been here. This is not some isolated case, Texas State isn't some bastion of sane thought; every college campus I have been at (TxSt, New Mexico State, University of Hawai'i) and every college campus I have known much about (Auburn, Georgia Tech, Cal. State, UT, A&M) are the same way.

When certain people here (and I don't just mean pr) talk about the state of our campuses and the cultures they breed, I really want to offer an invitation to come actually visit an American university. I have had very liberal professors, yes. I have also had a few who were very staunch Republicans and conservatives, Muslim professors, Christian professors, atheist professors, professors who aren't sure how severe climate change really is, professors who are vegan, professors who are openly all about dat meat... and every one coexists perfectly fine.

I think we really need to take a step back and realise that the internet is not "the real world" in that we are only presented a very limited view from a very limited perspective, often with major bias influencing it. And that extends to me as well... if you don't believe colleges aren't a breeding ground of "cultural Marxism", I highly recommend you don't take my word for it but instead visit your local university, audit some classes, just stop and talk to people who I have found to be more than happy to talk to people. You might realise us students are human beings just like you, more concerned about how the fuck we are going to pay our debts, how do we get that B we need to pass the class, what's for supper, how much longer can I drive on this tank without having to fill up because payday is still a week a way... than being concerned about destroying the establishment or establishing a SJW utopia...

The only time I ever did something very early in the morning on campus was to post a letter of complaint at the dormitory's front door.

The next day, the university threw a party for the dormitory, and I was the only one who knew why; as though a mere party would make up for the extreme route they were attempting to go.

Someone needs to get these anti-semites some jobs, because they clearly have too much time on their hands.

Same here.  I'd like to meet people who think college campuses are far left dystopias where conservatives are on the menu and the political correctness censorship has run amok and show them around.  In actuality, it's a mix of attitudes very much in keeping with the general public and conservatives are most definitely not abashed.

I've seen some worrying videos from a couple college campuses in other states, but I'm fairly certain that's not typical.

Anti-semites are an oppressed minority, so we need to promote their cause ;-)  Need to burn FDR and Churchill in effigy, for being such meanies.
