Title: Concept on Oppression
Post by: dtq123 on December 03, 2016, 04:41:19 PM
Oppressed Groups can only be liberated by the assistance of the Oppressive Group in some manner. Seems simple, because it is. This is a trend in history, if not a fact entirely.

First, the simple argument.

No class having power willingly gives up power unless the Powerful Class wants it to stop being this way, or the Powerful class loses power due to internal strife. This is because of a Powerful Group's desire to hold onto power.

Now for examples:

Romans were the Powerful Class, and Slaves (along with Christians) began to appeal to the mass and help create rifts in the roman population, thus destroying the system.

During the Civil Rights era in the US, It was not until the clergy of the whites changed whites opinion that Civil Rights could have been achieved.

Anyway, just my two cents in this time and place where we all hate each other, calling each other an oppressed group

If you have to do something you don't want to do, it is slavery.  If you choose to do something you want to do, it is indulgence.  If you choose to do something you don't want to do, it is sacrifice.  If you have to do something you want to do, it is neurotic.  Choose wisely.

The little ego wants its way ... but you aren't that ego, the ego is a function of your emotions, it isn't even cognitive.  If you come from the POV of your higher self, not your lower self ... then you are only oppressed if you choose to be.  One can choose to change one's heart, about not wanting to do something, or you can do it in spite of your heart's inclination.  Conversion to a new POV, or do your duty.  Choose wisely.

You came SO close to getting it...
