To be fair, women's football (for the most part) does not have diving like mens, nor does the Iceland men's team (those dudes are badass :D). My favorite moment from the women's world cup was when Hamdoui had her nose busted and she kept on playing till the ref finally got her to get off the field. They were taking too long to clean it off her, so she just ripped her jersey off and demanded a new one.

My favorite women's football league is full on tackle with pads (and bikini's) --Legends Football League (was Lingerie Football League--more descriptive.) Yeah, I've watched a game or two. Nothing like watching a defensive back running down a halfback by grabbing onto her bikini bottoms. :))))

Yeah, but which ones? Last year they used 10 different uniforms in 15 games. The also add 2 new uniforms for their Spring game and another if they go Bowling. As of last year Oregon could field something like 17,200 different uniforms if they mixed and matched, enough so they could wear a new uniform for every game until the year 3344. Bama is playing like they usually do which is at the level of their opponents. I'll be surprised if they hold onto the number one spot after scraping out a win over Ole Miss in a back and forth game. I'm not sure that will be a bad thing though. They seem to want it more when they aren't ranked number one. I am looking forward to two or three years from now if Hurt can stay healthy. Saban has never started a true freshman quarterback until this year. The kid is going to be really good with a couple of years of experience under his belt.

Anybody see Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware put Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson in a rear naked choke during the game last night? The refs apparently didn't so there was no penalty, but everyone watching the game on TV did. IMO behavior like this goes beyond poor sportsmanship verging on the realm of criminal. It's the kind of thing the NCAA should impose penalties for after the game. A couple of weeks sitting out the game might discourage this type of behavior in the future.

LOL! I started following the Yankees in 1961 when they fell into the worst seasons of the franchise history. Then I got moved to a Baltimore suburb and I HATED the Orioles. My definition of a good baseball year was when the Yankees did better than the Orioles. Never been a good "Homie".
Then moved near Washingtom DC the year the team left towm. Life is cruel! Could be a "homie" even when I wanted to be.
So, I've been thrilled with the Washington Nationals for 11 years. They lost the playoffs agai, but they get better every year. One day... LOL!
And the Washington football team is doing well (I don't like the name). 4 wins in a row. Maybe they have something going in the middle of the league and ca be exciting.

I am never happy about injuries. But the Washington team has had endless injuries this year. The Seattle game, they couldn't even suit up the allowed number of players. And in one position (RT?) they lost the backup of the backup of the backup).
