I find it kind of odd that this thread is under the "Tell a joke or two" section.  I can only conclude it's a terrible prank meant to build Leo up before heartlessly tearing him down, causing irreparable harm to his fragile psyche.  Good one.

I can manually copy any individual thread over.
Or I can bring back to a certain time period as well.
Just ask, no more complaining allowed. We can actually handle your issues and requests now for the first time since I can remember. So ask away!

I feel that way too.  But technically, archiving makes sense.  Our main posts table became so large that we couldn't maintain it anymore without paying for an enterprise license for a better SQL environment.  So I kind of like our large archive that never needs to be maintained, and our tiny posts table that will continue to feed the archive, from a technical standpoint, and can't think of a good reason to not do just that.  If we can get a good donations module going, we may feel a little better about spending more of Reggie's cash on dedicated servers and SQL Server licenses, but for now we're on a VPS with MySQL and can't handle a million-record main posts table.
